Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 3.03% or 3.40 points to trade at 115.60 at the close. Prosus (AS:PRX) added 1.77% or 0.57 points to end at 32.85 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 1.24% or 7.00 points to 572.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which lost 2.29% or 2.75 points to trade at 117.25 in late trade. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 0.91% or 0.24 points to end at 26.06 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) shed 0.74% or 0.40 points to 53.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 54 to 45 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.41% or 1.85 to $78.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.92% or 1.53 to hit $81.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.22% or 30.25 to trade at $2,503.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.03% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.99.
