Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML), which rose 0.83% or 6.70 points to trade at 818.70 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 0.76% or 0.16 points to end at 21.33 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 0.62% or 0.17 points to 27.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which lost 0.84% or 11.20 points to trade at 1,317.80 in late trade. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) declined 0.53% or 0.65 points to end at 122.35 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) shed 0.50% or 0.22 points to 44.03.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 55 to 45 and 11 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.92% or 0.68 to $74.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.70% or 0.54 to hit $77.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 5.90 to trade at $2,533.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 101.62.
