Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.11% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which rose 1.14% or 0.37 points to trade at 32.71 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) added 0.85% or 1.25 points to end at 149.00 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) was up 0.61% or 4.20 points to 691.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which lost 1.50% or 1.50 points to trade at 98.28 in late trade. Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) declined 1.22% or 0.76 points to end at 61.34 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) shed 0.97% or 0.46 points to 47.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 56 to 50 and 8 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.38% or 1.80 to $77.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.12% or 1.69 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.05 to trade at $2,327.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.81.
