Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Holding Companies and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which rose 6.00% or 9.00 points to trade at 159.00 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) added 5.97% or 6.15 points to end at 109.15 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 4.86% or 3 points to 56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CGI (CS:CGI), which lost 9.93% or 71 points to trade at 644 in late trade. Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC) declined 4.02% or 78 points to end at 1862 and Timar (CS:TIM) shed 3.61% or 15.00 points to 400.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 22 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.40% or 0.20 to $50.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $56.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1104.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.71% to 10.7990, while USD/MAD fell 0.35% to 9.8779.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.71% at 97.48.
