Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Construction & Building Materials and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 9.96% or 10.30 points to trade at 113.70 at the close. Involys (CS:INV) added 9.83% or 14.05 points to end at 157.00 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 9.65% or 20.95 points to 237.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Rebab Company (CS:REBA), which lost 5.93% or 8.00 points to trade at 127.00 in late trade. Colorado (CS:COL) declined 5.18% or 3.68 points to end at 67.32 and Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) shed 2.49% or 36 points to 1410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 20 and 1 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.29% or 0.14 to $47.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.16% or 0.08 to hit $50.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.58 to trade at $1280.82 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.14% to 11.1330, while USD/MAD rose 0.51% to 9.4862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.70.
