Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Distributors and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which rose 5.94% or 5.70 points to trade at 101.70 at the close. Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE:RDS) added 4.90% or 3.80 points to end at 81.30 and Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) was up 4.29% or 1.29 points to 31.39 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Salafin (CSE:SLF), which lost 6.18% or 36.90 points to trade at 560.00 in late trade. Ste Promotion Pharmaceutique du Maghreb SA (CSE:PRO) declined 5.08% or 50.00 points to end at 934.00 and Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP) shed 3.64% or 18.90 points to 500.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 20 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.19% or 0.15 to $78.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.29% or 0.24 to hit $82.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 16.80 to trade at $2,343.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.46% to 10.71, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.00% to 9.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.26% at 103.88.
