Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Food Producers & Processors and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM), which rose 9.99% or 40.55 points to trade at 446.35 at the close. Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR) added 8.57% or 3.00 points to end at 37.99 and IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC) was up 5.81% or 1.70 points to 30.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lesieur Cristal (CSE:LES), which lost 6.81% or 19.00 points to trade at 260.00 in late trade. Ennakl Automobiles (CSE:NKL) declined 3.59% or 1.19 points to end at 32.00 and Aradei Capital SA (CSE:ARD) shed 2.58% or 12.90 points to 487.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 15 and 15 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.97% or 1.51 to $78.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.51% or 1.20 to hit $80.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 22.75 to trade at $2,496.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.15% to 10.73, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.00% to 9.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.95.
