Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which rose 2.87% or 43 points to trade at 1539 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 2.20% or 0.44 points to end at 20.44 and Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) was up 2.09% or 4.80 points to 234.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA), which lost 3.01% or 93 points to trade at 3000 in late trade. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 2.76% or 1.40 points to end at 49.30 and CTM (CS:CTM) shed 2.74% or 26.00 points to 922.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 17 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.41% or 0.87 to $60.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.13% or 0.74 to hit $64.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 4.00 to trade at $1318.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.05% to 11.3160, while USD/MAD rose 0.15% to 9.2459.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 90.26.
