Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CSE:JET), which rose 3.47% or 28.10 points to trade at 837.00 at the close. S2M (CSE:S2M) added 2.71% or 6.50 points to end at 246.50 and Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE:STR) was up 2.31% or 1.20 points to 53.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP), which lost 2.31% or 11.60 points to trade at 490.10 in late trade. IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC) declined 2.06% or 0.84 points to end at 39.94 and Miniere Touissit (CSE:CMT) shed 2.06% or 35.00 points to 1,665.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 20 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.43% or 0.99 to $68.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.40% or 1.02 to hit $71.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.80 to trade at $2,538.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.20% to 10.78, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 9.71.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.15.
