Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Electrical & Electronic equipment and Distributors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which rose 9.99% or 38.85 points to trade at 427.85 at the close. Atlanta (CS:ATL) added 9.98% or 5.48 points to end at 60.38 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 5.99% or 10.10 points to 178.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which lost 6.81% or 9.50 points to trade at 130.00 in late trade. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) declined 3.75% or 2.03 points to end at 52.11 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 1.75% or 0.90 points to 50.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 17 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.93% or 0.99 to $50.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.49% or 0.85 to hit $56.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 7.00 to trade at $1295.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.10% to 11.1300, while USD/MAD rose 0.16% to 9.4030.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 92.88.
