Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Food Producers & Processors and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 5.37% or 7.80 points to trade at 152.95 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 3.39% or 52 points to end at 1588 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 2.87% or 6.95 points to 248.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included S2M (CS:S2M), which lost 6.67% or 19.00 points to trade at 266.00 in late trade. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 6.56% or 16.00 points to end at 228.00 and SMI (CS:SMI) shed 5.99% or 197 points to 3092.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.90% or 0.43 to $48.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.98% or 0.51 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1293.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 11.1180, while USD/MAD fell 0.55% to 9.4203.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.17.
