Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Utilities and Beverage sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.02% to hit a new 5-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which rose 9.94% or 3.41 points to trade at 37.72 at the close. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) added 6.00% or 169 points to end at 2986 and Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) was up 5.98% or 251 points to 4451 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Snep (CS:SNP), which lost 6.02% or 50.00 points to trade at 780.00 in late trade. Oulmes (CS:OULM) declined 5.98% or 113 points to end at 1777 and Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) shed 4.62% or 12.90 points to 266.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 29 to 28 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.55% or 1.02 to $64.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.15% or 1.50 to hit $68.15 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 14.00 to trade at $1333.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.18% to 11.3820, while USD/MAD rose 0.28% to 9.1437.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 89.06.
