Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES), which rose 2.35% or 5.82 points to trade at 252.71 at the close. Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:MEGACPO) added 1.34% or 0.58 points to end at 43.78 and Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:WALMEX) was up 1.04% or 0.64 points to 62.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB), which lost 2.79% or 8.23 points to trade at 287.73 in late trade. Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA) declined 2.73% or 3.66 points to end at 129.82 and Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV:VESTA) shed 2.54% or 1.38 points to 52.77.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 134 to 81 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.06% or 1.50 to $2,429.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.58% or 1.22 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $79.14 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.00% to 18.63, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 20.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 104.34.
