Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q), which rose 4.44% or 8.24 points to trade at 193.97 at the close. Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA) added 2.29% or 1.43 points to end at 63.83 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC) was up 2.25% or 4.00 points to 181.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:GFNORTEO), which lost 4.96% or 7.41 points to trade at 141.87 in late trade. Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA) declined 1.90% or 2.61 points to end at 134.80 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO) shed 1.89% or 0.83 points to 43.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 136 to 91 and 15 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.02% or 23.55 to $2,336.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.21% or 0.98 to hit $81.88 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.86 to trade at $85.33 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.48% to 18.41, while EUR/MXN rose 0.61% to 19.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 105.60.
