Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO), which rose 3.60% or 0.43 points to trade at 12.37 at the close. Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (BMV:BOLSAA) added 2.52% or 0.80 points to end at 32.54 and GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC) was up 1.21% or 2.15 points to 179.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB), which lost 5.50% or 0.96 points to trade at 16.49 in late trade. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q) declined 5.37% or 10.39 points to end at 183.19 and Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA) shed 4.22% or 5.70 points to 129.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 181 to 64 and 19 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.54% or 12.65 to $2,339.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 0.46 to hit $78.36 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.56 to trade at $82.48 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.86% to 18.73, while EUR/MXN rose 1.42% to 20.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.85% at 104.30.
