Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.88% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA), which rose 2.23% or 0.980 points to trade at 45.000 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 1.84% or 0.280 points to end at 15.460 and Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) was up 0.62% or 0.09 points to 14.66 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which lost 3.52% or 0.840 points to trade at 23.010 in late trade. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 3.18% or 0.730 points to end at 22.250 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) shed 3.11% or 3.730 points to 116.180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 141 to 117 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.72 to $1283.22 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.71% or 0.41 to trade at $57.34 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.48% to 19.0833, while EUR/MXN rose 0.24% to 22.4216.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.72.
