Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.66% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 1.45% or 3.860 points to trade at 270.430 at the close. Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) added 1.28% or 0.600 points to end at 47.460 and Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) was up 0.96% or 0.600 points to 62.960 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which lost 2.59% or 5.720 points to trade at 215.780 in late trade. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 2.23% or 0.690 points to end at 30.240 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) shed 2.08% or 0.330 points to 15.610.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 38 and 1 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1185.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.55% or 0.33 to hit $60.07 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.25% or 0.81 to trade at $63.84 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.17% to 15.4349, while EUR/MXN rose 0.34% to 17.4154.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 95.06.
