Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB), which rose 1.17% or 2.22 points to trade at 192.71 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) added 0.93% or 0.950 points to end at 103.170 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) was up 0.69% or 5.57 points to 812.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which lost 2.78% or 0.90 points to trade at 31.44 in late trade. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) declined 1.07% or 1.62 points to end at 150.03 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) shed 1.04% or 0.93 points to 88.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 137 to 78 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.45% or 5.84 to $1300.64 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.64 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.37 to trade at $56.80 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.81% to 17.7334, while EUR/MXN fell 0.76% to 21.1896.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 91.95.
