Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 2.81% or 0.45 points to trade at 16.49 at the close. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) added 2.21% or 0.990 points to end at 45.880 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was up 1.48% or 0.280 points to 19.190 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which lost 3.92% or 4.19 points to trade at 102.77 in late trade. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 1.53% or 0.350 points to end at 22.520 and Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) shed 1.08% or 0.330 points to 30.190.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 114 and 3 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.43 to $1277.47 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.01% or 0.51 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.23 to trade at $55.77 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.27% to 18.2659, while EUR/MXN rose 0.47% to 21.4865.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.28.
