Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Health Care, Industrials and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which rose 4.28% or 1.27 points to trade at 30.82 at the close. Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB) added 2.28% or 4.490 points to end at 201.800 and Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) was up 2.16% or 0.980 points to 46.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresas ICA, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which lost 3.80% or 0.490 points to trade at 12.490 in late trade. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 2.03% or 0.270 points to end at 13.100 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) shed 1.98% or 1.580 points to 78.180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 63 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1166.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude Oil for delivery in April rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.12 to trade at $58.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.03% to 15.4771, while EUR/MXN fell 0.02% to 16.7925.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 97.64.
