Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Health Care, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 5.18% or 1.520 points to trade at 30.890 at the close. Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) added 4.86% or 3.160 points to end at 68.700 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) was up 4.49% or 13.640 points to 317.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 26.32% or 5.830 points to trade at 16.450 in late trade. Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) declined 2.49% or 12.730 points to end at 500.920 and Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL) shed 2.23% or 2.950 points to 128.700.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 56 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was up 0.20% or 2.40 to $1212.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude Oil for delivery in April rose 2.26% or 1.09 to hit $49.26 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 3.30% or 1.98 to trade at $62.03 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.42% to 14.9349, while EUR/MXN fell 0.47% to 16.7151.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 95.30.
