Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services, Materials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.68% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which rose 5.25% or 5.650 points to trade at 113.250 at the close. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) added 3.86% or 8.730 points to end at 234.810 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) was up 3.84% or 1.200 points to 32.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which lost 2.89% or 0.780 points to trade at 26.190 in late trade. Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) declined 2.58% or 3.190 points to end at 120.310 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) shed 1.17% or 0.530 points to 44.870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 57 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.30 to $1344.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.74% or 1.22 to hit $45.71 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.85% or 1.34 to trade at $48.31 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.06% to 18.0690, while EUR/MXN fell 0.87% to 20.2100.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 95.58.
