Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 6.65% or 1.310 points to trade at 21.000 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 3.27% or 0.360 points to end at 11.380 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 2.82% or 1.180 points to 43.020 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESL), which lost 3.82% or 0.440 points to trade at 11.080 in late trade. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) declined 2.65% or 4.940 points to end at 181.260 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) shed 1.68% or 2.180 points to 127.900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 70 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.48% or 6.60 to $1360.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 4.70% or 2.23 to hit $45.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 4.73% or 2.31 to trade at $46.49 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.56% to 18.8445, while EUR/MXN rose 0.25% to 20.8513.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.30.
