Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO), which rose 2.35% or 2.170 points to trade at 94.500 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) added 1.58% or 1.580 points to end at 102.000 and Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB) was up 1.92% or 1.000 points to 53.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM), which lost 3.36% or 1.460 points to trade at 42.000 in late trade. Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA) declined 2.39% or 0.090 points to end at 3.680 and Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) shed 1.48% or 3.740 points to 249.470.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 74 and 15 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 1.22% or 15.20 to $1235.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.27% or 0.55 to hit $43.73 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 0.62 to trade at $45.15 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.06% to 17.4536, while EUR/MXN fell 0.63% to 19.5984.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.05.
