Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Materials, Industrials and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which rose 3.35% or 0.700 points to trade at 21.570 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 2.79% or 1.670 points to end at 61.520 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) was up 1.27% or 2.25 points to 179.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 4.79% or 1.100 points to trade at 21.870 in late trade. Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) declined 2.61% or 0.490 points to end at 18.280 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) shed 1.80% or 5.97 points to 324.84.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 147 to 74 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.83% or 10.65 to $1292.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.15% or 1.22 to hit $58.05 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.12% or 0.70 to trade at $63.27 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.01% to 18.6376, while EUR/MXN fell 0.07% to 22.0364.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 93.15.
