Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which rose 4.36% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.01 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.61% or 14.0 points to end at 401.0 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 2.95% or 1.55 points to 54.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.81% or 2.6 points to trade at 51.5 in late trade. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 3.27% or 0.4 points to end at 11.8 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 1.52% or 4.5 points to 291.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 110 to 78 and 2 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.61% or 0.67 to $42.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.06% or 0.47 to hit $45.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.61% or 6.40 to trade at $1062.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.57% to 9.1714, while USD/NOK fell 0.30% to 8.6811.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 100.28.
