Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.55% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.62% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.25 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG) added 0.46% or 0.04 points to end at 8.79 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was up 0.43% or 0.02 points to 4.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS), which lost 4.05% or 4.25 points to trade at 100.70 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 4.00% or 0.50 points to end at 11.91 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) shed 3.59% or 0.07 points to 1.96.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 365 to 137 and 48 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.37% or 3.06 to $73.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 4.11% or 3.04 to hit $76.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $2,669.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 101.80.
