Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which rose 1.17% or 0.25 points to trade at 21.55 at the close. Terna (MI:TRN) added 0.42% or 0.021 points to end at 5.016 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was up 0.15% or 0.04 points to 26.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which lost 3.95% or 1.50 points to trade at 36.50 in late trade. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.36% or 0.1010 points to end at 4.1820 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) shed 2.32% or 0.442 points to 18.588.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 207 to 133 and 38 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $68.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.23% or 0.17 to hit $73.53 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.90 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1983, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.31.
