Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediaset SpA (MI:MS), which rose 1.94% or 0.053 points to trade at 2.782 at the close. Luxottica Group SpA (MI:LUX) added 1.58% or 0.92 points to end at 59.14 and Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC) was up 0.97% or 0.07 points to 7.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlantia (MI:ATL), which lost 2.34% or 0.43 points to trade at 17.95 in late trade. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.09% or 0.0800 points to end at 3.7500 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) shed 1.95% or 0.125 points to 6.270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 224 to 141 and 36 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.63% or 0.45 to $72.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.50% or 0.40 to hit $81.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 11.50 to trade at $1187.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.1678, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 94.39.
