Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which rose 2.31% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.23 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 2.23% or 0.04 points to end at 1.92 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) was up 1.88% or 1.90 points to 103.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which lost 4.44% or 2.42 points to trade at 52.04 in late trade. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 3.05% or 0.88 points to end at 28.02 and Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY) shed 2.05% or 1.30 points to 62.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 286 to 183 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.81% or 0.57 to $69.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.73% or 0.54 to hit $73.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.25 to trade at $2,525.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 101.32.
