Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 2.82% or 0.74 points to trade at 26.94 at the close. A2A (MI:A2) added 1.43% or 0.022 points to end at 1.556 and Enel (MI:ENEI) was up 1.32% or 0.070 points to 5.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which lost 4.15% or 0.810 points to trade at 18.730 in late trade. Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) declined 2.39% or 0.45 points to end at 18.37 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 2.03% or 0.29 points to 13.99.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 208 to 144 and 44 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.93% or 0.60 to $63.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.64% or 1.15 to hit $69.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $1335.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.2244, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 90.34.
