Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Chemicals and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 3.72% or 0.81 points to trade at 22.57 at the close. Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:BPSI) added 2.71% or 0.19 points to end at 7.20 and Interpump Group (BIT:ITPG) was up 1.81% or 0.74 points to 41.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE), which lost 7.06% or 30.90 points to trade at 407.00 in late trade. Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) declined 1.71% or 0.85 points to end at 48.95 and ERG (BIT:ERG) shed 1.46% or 0.30 points to 20.26.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 268 to 237 and 41 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.53% or 1.09 to $72.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.33% or 1.00 to hit $76.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.50 to trade at $2,750.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 103.41.
