Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 0.99% or 0.032 points to trade at 3.260 at the close. Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) added 0.85% or 0.024 points to end at 2.864 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) was up 0.70% or 0.050 points to 7.190 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which lost 1.22% or 0.24 points to trade at 19.47 in late trade. Banca Generali (MI:BGN) declined 1.04% or 0.30 points to end at 28.50 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 0.97% or 0.11 points to 11.22.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 236 to 117 and 12 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.45% or 1.65 to $46.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.31% or 0.68 to hit $51.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 14.22 to trade at $1312.12 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1976, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.18.
