Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.20% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were ENI (MI:ENI), which rose 1.52% or 0.22 points to trade at 14.72 at the close. Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED) added 1.46% or 0.105 points to end at 7.290 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was up 1.25% or 0.120 points to 9.690 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which lost 2.21% or 0.066 points to trade at 2.920 in late trade. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) declined 1.88% or 0.078 points to end at 4.068 and Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) shed 1.76% or 0.260 points to 14.490.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 257 to 116 and 14 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.33% or 0.19 to $57.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.78% or 0.50 to hit $63.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.17 to trade at $1275.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1574, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 94.93.
