Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which rose 2.96% or 0.19 points to trade at 6.54 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) added 2.08% or 0.63 points to end at 30.93 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 2.02% or 0.0102 points to 0.5154 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which lost 3.22% or 0.458 points to trade at 13.752 in late trade. Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) declined 2.21% or 0.140 points to end at 6.188 and A2A (MI:A2) shed 1.94% or 0.028 points to 1.417.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 199 to 152 and 22 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.10% or 0.74 to $66.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.63% or 1.26 to hit $76.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.30 to trade at $1225.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1365, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 96.62.
