Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.26% or 0.37 points to trade at 11.73 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 3.17% or 0.0980 points to end at 3.1900 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 1.90% or 0.51 points to 27.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which lost 2.28% or 0.072 points to trade at 3.084 in late trade. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 2.16% or 0.0840 points to end at 3.8100 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) shed 1.80% or 0.3100 points to 16.9200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 193 to 164 and 16 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.05% or 1.44 to $48.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.06% or 1.08 to hit $53.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 13.02 to trade at $1343.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1921, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.9151.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 92.24.
