Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 1.88% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Enel (BIT:ENEI) added 1.64% or 0.11 points to end at 6.99 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI) was up 1.51% or 0.15 points to 9.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which lost 5.25% or 4.70 points to trade at 84.85 in late trade. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) declined 2.35% or 10.30 points to end at 428.20 and Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC) shed 2.19% or 1.14 points to 50.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 255 to 226 and 48 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.35% or 0.24 to $69.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.34% or 0.25 to hit $72.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 12.55 to trade at $2,538.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.10.
