Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the FTSE MIB fell 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the FTSE MIB were Autogrill (MILAN:AGL), which rose 3.43% or 0.28 points to trade at 8.60 at the close. A2A (MILAN:A2) added 3.26% or 0.034 points to end at 1.076 and Buzzi Unicem (MILAN:BZU) was up 2.22% or 0.32 points to 14.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banca Monte Paschi Siena (MILAN:BMPS), which lost 3.62% or 0.0205 points to trade at 0.5460 in late trade. Saipem (MILAN:SPMI) declined 2.83% or 0.36 points to end at 12.36 and Tenaris (MILAN:TENR) shed 2.37% or 0.33 points to 13.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 242 to 226 and 5 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.58% or 0.35 to $59.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $66.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1223.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1418, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7245.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 93.44.
