Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 5.76% or 1.40 points to trade at 25.70 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 3.67% or 4.50 points to end at 127.20 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 2.75% or 0.1040 points to 3.8800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI), which lost 1.20% or 0.1760 points to trade at 14.5200 in late trade. Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) declined 1.02% or 0.084 points to end at 8.166 and Salvatore Ferragamo SpA (MI:SFER) shed 0.52% or 0.13 points to 25.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 236 to 130 and 26 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $66.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.89% or 0.68 to hit $76.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.90 to trade at $1307.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.43% to 1.1622, while EUR/GBP fell 0.82% to 0.8744.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.08% at 94.57.
