Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE), which rose 3.79% or 14.80 points to trade at 405.20 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT) added 3.44% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF) was up 3.16% or 0.69 points to 22.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which lost 0.51% or 0.07 points to trade at 12.70 in late trade. DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS) declined 0.38% or 0.38 points to end at 99.44 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS) shed 0.31% or 0.02 points to 5.13.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 284 to 162 and 49 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.91% or 0.71 to $77.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.37% or 0.30 to hit $80.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 25.45 to trade at $2,482.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 102.32.
