Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 2.57% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.37 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 2.46% or 0.414 points to end at 17.270 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was up 2.18% or 0.425 points to 19.910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Recordati (MI:RECI), which lost 1.55% or 0.45 points to trade at 28.60 in late trade. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 1.43% or 0.0116 points to end at 0.8000 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) shed 1.07% or 0.115 points to 10.635.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 207 to 141 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.16% or 1.34 to $63.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.83% or 1.21 to hit $67.26 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 7.50 to trade at $1310.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.2253, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.8757.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 89.94.
