Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), which rose 3.09% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.34 at the close. A2A SpA (BIT:A2) added 3.02% or 0.06 points to end at 2.08 and Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) was up 2.60% or 10.80 points to 426.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which lost 4.63% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.24 in late trade. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) declined 2.77% or 0.34 points to end at 11.86 and Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) shed 0.96% or 0.06 points to 5.81.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 265 to 205 and 54 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.75% or 0.57 to $75.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.65% or 0.52 to hit $78.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.45% or 38.15 to trade at $2,677.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.66.
