Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.56% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 5.26% or 1.11 points to trade at 22.22 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 3.94% or 4.45 points to end at 117.40 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 3.93% or 0.0216 points to 0.5714 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pirelli & C SPA (MI:PIRC), which lost 0.58% or 0.04 points to trade at 7.18 in late trade. Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) declined 0.49% or 0.034 points to end at 6.944 and Snam (MI:SRG) shed 0.27% or 0.010 points to 3.704.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 205 to 154 and 35 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.15% or 0.79 to $69.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.08% or 0.84 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.30 to trade at $1203.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1673, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.16.
