Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE), which rose 1.70% or 7.30 points to trade at 437.70 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) added 1.28% or 0.10 points to end at 8.24 and ERG (BIT:ERG) was up 1.17% or 0.28 points to 24.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:BCU), which lost 1.89% or 1.70 points to trade at 88.10 in late trade. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) declined 1.64% or 0.03 points to end at 2.04 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) shed 1.17% or 0.15 points to 12.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 249 to 227 and 56 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.09% or 1.62 to $75.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.83% or 1.47 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 9.70 to trade at $2,545.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.66.
