Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (BIT:MONC), which rose 4.96% or 2.37 points to trade at 50.18 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:STLAM) added 3.19% or 0.40 points to end at 12.95 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) was up 2.69% or 0.16 points to 6.27 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR), which lost 2.96% or 0.55 points to trade at 18.05 in late trade. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) declined 2.84% or 0.17 points to end at 5.89 and Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) shed 2.05% or 0.05 points to 2.49.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 296 to 227 and 57 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.20% or 0.82 to $67.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.03% or 0.74 to hit $71.35 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 12.21 to trade at $2,660.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 106.01.
