Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which rose 5.94% or 1.84 points to trade at 32.80 at the close. Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) added 1.79% or 1.72 points to end at 97.82 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) was up 1.74% or 0.94 points to 55.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which lost 4.06% or 0.0600 points to trade at 1.4190 in late trade. Prysmian SpA (MI:PRY) declined 1.72% or 0.33 points to end at 18.62 and Azimut Holding SpA (MI:AZMT) shed 1.49% or 0.17 points to 11.24.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 174 and 30 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.72% or 1.45 to $54.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.76% or 1.08 to hit $62.28 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1310.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1420, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.597.
