Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Luxottica Group SpA (MI:LUX), which rose 4.28% or 2.12 points to trade at 51.70 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.90% or 0.60 points to end at 15.99 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 3.09% or 2.88 points to 96.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which lost 2.86% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.50 in late trade. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) declined 1.88% or 0.039 points to end at 2.038 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) shed 1.18% or 0.1380 points to 11.5160.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 182 to 172 and 32 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.16% or 1.59 to $51.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.23% or 1.32 to hit $60.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1230.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1374, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 96.800.
