Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.24% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 9.72% or 1.15 points to trade at 12.98 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) added 3.64% or 0.152 points to end at 4.324 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 1.82% or 0.3000 points to 16.7600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which lost 2.89% or 3.00 points to trade at 100.80 in late trade. Mediaset (MI:MS) declined 2.23% or 0.070 points to end at 3.070 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) shed 1.77% or 0.12 points to 6.67.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 213 to 151 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.20% or 0.11 to $54.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.21% or 0.13 to hit $60.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.14 to trade at $1277.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP rose 1.76% to 0.8926.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 94.61.
