Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Travel & Leisure and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 4.73% or 1.32 points to trade at 29.22 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) added 1.51% or 0.55 points to end at 36.98 and Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) was up 1.50% or 0.125 points to 8.455 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which lost 2.28% or 0.0740 points to trade at 3.1720 in late trade. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 2.19% or 0.26 points to end at 11.60 and Mediaset (MI:MS) shed 2.17% or 0.068 points to 3.066.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 180 to 177 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.96% or 0.96 to $48.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.68% or 0.37 to hit $54.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.36 to trade at $1351.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.2038, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.9119.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 91.28.
