Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 1.51% or 0.048 points to trade at 3.228 at the close. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) added 1.37% or 0.2400 points to end at 17.7800 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 1.12% or 0.0340 points to 3.0680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which lost 2.09% or 0.42 points to trade at 19.71 in late trade. A2A (MI:A2) declined 1.27% or 0.018 points to end at 1.395 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) shed 1.20% or 0.65 points to 53.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 168 to 163 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.34% or 0.16 to $47.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.14 to trade at $1297.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.1880, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.9223.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 92.66.
